From 2018-2020 he was the director of autopsy services at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson and since 2019 he has once again served as a forensic pathologist in the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner. Dr. Parks has been the recipient of many prestigious awards and he has generously given of his time serving on various committees, councils, and task forces reviewing child fatalities, sudden infant death (SIDS), and unexplained infant deaths. Dr. Parks has magnanimously agreed to present on forensics to court interpreters on several occasions.
